Praetorian Stout

I've managed to get some conditioning into my bottles from the last symposium. It's actually still very good & may benefit from another week or two in the bottle.

Christmas Ale 2013

No explosions this year! My opinion: a light ruby coloured 'cooking beer' with the slightest hint of caramel and a hoppy aftertaste. Not a typical winter warmer but enjoyable nonetheless. Goes down very quickly, on my second already.

Christmas Crawl 3

It's a good turnout. I think all of the regular BAD boys & girls except JD will have put in an appearance before the night is out. And I believe he is in The Pub.

Christmas Beer

The Christmas beer is ready. My test bottle is prickly with carbonation but it's not explosive. It's based on a Gales HSB recipe & it tastes like a good strong flavoured premium bitter.

Brew Day 4

The wort is boiled & cooled. All we need to do now is strain off the hops & pitch the yeast. It's looking dark & smelling good.

Brussels BAD Trip 15

Monday morning was spent in the Cantillon Lambic brewery. Interesting for the brewers & a selection of fascinating beers. I don't think any beer is more real than this but they still sell it in keg. Don't tell CAMRA.
