BAD TNG Symposium 4

The beer is still lively. We have 5 here, at least 2 people who couldn't come & a few more who are likely to join in.

The prospects are pretty good for the new group.

Build it & they will come.

BAD TNG Symposium 3

Our taste comparison with Courage Directors.

Very good for colour. Similar taste, but the commercial product is fizzier. Ours is smoother &, in my opinion, nicer.

BAD TNG Symposium 2

The good news. I have poured 5 pints & not had to open the lid yet.

Good head, good flavour, good times.

BAD TNG First Symposium

First up the technical issues.

The keg has a small split which opened up as the pressure increased.

We have only a third to a quarter left.

Boo!

Christmas Comes Early

When I bottled the Xmas beer I was left with a third of a bottle.

Not surprisingly it had one or two flecks of who knows what floating in it that the syphon had dragged through.

I did wonder if it had time to come into condition in a week & a half but it opened with a gentle thwump.

It poured a little cloudy & a little flat but there was still a bit of head that still gives a ring if bubbles on the outside of my glass.

How is it you may ask?

It lacks a little fizz that the fuller bottles should get but is otherwise drinkable already & shows promise for a very enjoyable beer.

Roll on Xmas.

Brewing Day 4

It's a golden beer the colour of wee

It should be strong & well hopped.

I'm looking forward to it already.

Brewing Day 3

Wow! Smell those hops.

Boiling the wort will take about 90 minutes altogether.

Brewing Day 2

We've now been joined by Paul Wood

With hands-free sparging it's not too onerous.

Brewing Day

It's just me, John Dzelme & the velociraptor but we'll manage.

It's an experimental IPA this time.

Wish us luck as, whatever the results, we'll all have to drink it.
